Cory’s photography reflects the wonderful natural world of New England — Connecticut, where she lived for many years, and Maine where she is privileged to live now. Hiking, skiing, camping from her early years developed her love for the outdoors, for nature and for the landscapes, plants, and wildlife she encountered there.

Traveling around the world has also been an important theme in her life, and the images you can see on this website reflect journeys to Kyoto in the autumn, to Bhutan’s temples, to Tibet and Yunnan, to the Antarctic summer and to view the incredibly varied wildlife of the Galapagos Islands and the plains of Tanzania.

Like many photographers, she started making images with a little film camera as a small child, but didn’t become serious about it until later in life. Over time, the black and white wet darkroom receded into boxes and she turned to digital image-making which is what you will see here.

Her work has been shown at the Silvermine Gallery in Connecticut, at the Chocolate Church Gallery in Bath, Maine and at the Maine Photography Show. She has received numerous awards, most recently a First Prize at the Maine Photography Show in 2017.
